Why can't a shift be published?

Identify and resolve common issues preventing a shift from publishing. If a shift didn't publish properly, it's usually due to missing information, publishing settings, or employee assignment issues.

The shift status has not been updated

The shift was not published. You may have saved the shift without publishing it or selected only certain shifts.

Resolution - Update the shift status to published and save the change (you may need to notify the employee)


The employee is inactive or unavailable

Shifts cannot be published without confirmation to inactive employees or employees who are unavailable during that time.

Resolution - Check the employee is active (if inactive update this) and make sure the employee is not on leave or unavailable during this shift.


Shift details are missing

A shift may fail to publish if key information is incomplete, such as the employees assigned (or shift is offered), a shift time and an area is not selected.

Resolution - Input any missing details and try again
