Once your location, areas and employees are set up, you are ready to create your first shift.
A shift is a scheduled block of work assigned to an employee. When you publish it, the employee can see it in Urhere.
If your business uses areas, assigning the shift to the right one will make the roster easier to manage.
Create a test shift for yourself
In Urhere, you're automatically added an employee by being the account owner. This means you can assign yourself a shift.
Click on "Add Shift" in any area for today's date or drag and drop yourself from the left side of the roster. A shift window will appear.
When creating a shift, make sure you choose the correct shift details.

Quick tip: Shift Statuses
In Urhere, the shift statuses give you flexibility to individually publish shifts or bulk update and publish shifts to employees.

β

The employee will be asked to confirm or reject working the shift.
β
Confirmed
The employee will not be able to confirm or reject the shift. If you're coming from other systems, this is the same as "Publish" in those systems.

The shift is in the clocked-in status. This useful if an employee forgot to clock in.
β

The shift has been finished and a timesheet has been created. This can be set manually if the employee forgets to clock out.
