A work profile sets an employee's standard weekly hours. Once assigned to an employee, Urhere warns a manager if a shift would put that employee over their profile's weekly hours.
This is particularly useful for employees on working or student visas, who are often legally restricted to a set number of hours per week; a work profile helps a manager keep an eye on that limit while rostering.
Where to find it
Go to Employees, select an employee, and open Work Setup. The Work Profile field is where a profile is assigned.
How it works
To create a new work profile, select the "+" next to the Work Profile dropdown in an employee's Work Setup page. This opens Create Work Profile, where a name and a weekly hours figure are set. A created profile is available to assign to any employee, not just the one it was created from.
Assign a work profile to an employee from their Work Setup page. The profile's weekly hours figure becomes that employee's limit.
When rostering a shift that would take an employee over their assigned profile's weekly hours, Urhere shows a Work Profile Hours Exceeded warning. It states the employee's current hours, how many hours the new shift adds, the new total against the limit, and by how much they are over.
The warning does not block the shift. A manager can select Cancel to stop, or Save Anyway to roster the shift regardless of the profile's limit.
