June 1 Release Changelog

Our June 1 release brings a major set of improvements across Urhere.

This update focuses on making Urhere easier to use, more reliable during payroll, better for multi-location teams and more helpful for managers using the schedule every day.

Some changes will be immediately visible. Others improve the way Urhere works behind the scenes, so future updates are smoother and faster.

Rostering and schedules

We have made major improvements to the schedule to make rostering faster, clearer and easier to manage.

What’s new:

  • A cleaner and more modern schedule experience

  • Smarter employee suggestions when filling shifts

  • Easier filtering by availability, hours worked, position and training

  • Better handling of unavailable employees

  • Shift swapping

  • Cleaner shift offering

  • Ability to save empty and offered shifts in schedule templates

  • Ability to copy empty and offered shifts

  • Improved drag and drop

  • New 14-day schedule view

  • Improved day view

  • Day view by employee

  • Ability to select multiple shifts and apply actions

  • View all locations in one schedule

  • New shift creation and editing experience

  • Schedule settings moved closer to where they are used

  • Alerts and warnings based on hours worked

  • Birthdays visible on the schedule

  • Shift clash alerts when using schedule templates

  • Employee shift templates for common shifts

AI rostering is also being prepared for a future release. This will help with common requests such as filling empty shifts, finding available employees and making roster changes faster.

In fact, it's ready to go now, however we are limiting the pressure on our support team for such a big release.

Payroll exports and Xero

We have made major improvements to the payroll export experience, especially for Xero customers.

Payroll export is one of the most important parts of Urhere, so we have focused on making it clearer, more reliable and easier to follow.

What’s new:

  • A rebuilt Xero export experience

  • Clearer export progress and messaging

  • Better handling of export issues

  • Improved employee import and sync

  • Improved payroll mapping and configuration

  • Support for multiple Xero organisations in one Urhere account

  • New Excel export formats

  • Continued support for existing export formats where needed

Most customers will not need to change anything. Some customers may be asked to review or confirm payroll settings during their first export after the update.

Payroll costing

We have improved how labour costs are calculated and shown across Urhere.

What’s new:

  • Forecast and actual shift costing

  • Location-level control over labour costing settings

  • Employee super percentage settings

  • More accurate shift costing based on your location settings

This helps managers get a clearer view of labour costs before and after shifts are worked.

Reporting

We have expanded reporting so managers can access more useful business and workforce information.

What’s new:

  • Sales vs Labour reporting

  • Sales actuals and budgets

  • Payroll Summary reports

  • Area Summary reports

  • Unavailability reports

  • Birthday reports

  • Anniversary reports

  • Better controls for viewing and filtering report data

  • More reporting information available from the schedule

These updates are designed to give managers better visibility across rosters, labour costs, availability and team information.

Sales and POS

We have continued work on sales and POS-connected reporting.

What’s new:

  • Sales reporting improvements

  • Sales actuals and budgets

  • Support for Square POS connection

  • Better connection between sales, labour and schedule information

This helps businesses compare rostered labour with sales performance and budgets.

Mobile app

We have made major improvements to the mobile app experience.

What’s new:

  • A cleaner mobile app experience

  • Multi-lingual support

  • A separate manager area including roster actions, timesheets, swap approvals, leave approvals etc.

  • Improved rostering & editing screens

  • Better schedule actions from the roster

  • Shift surveys

  • Improved support for employee communication features

These updates make the app easier for employees to use and better prepared for future mobile improvements.

Employee profiles

We have rebuilt and improved key areas of employee management.

What’s new:

  • Cleaner employee profiles

  • Improved salary section

  • Easier salary setup and editing

  • Work profiles for managing work hour restrictions

  • Improved employee onboarding

  • New onboarding forms

  • Better onboarding document management

  • Reusable default onboarding documents

  • Signable digital documents

  • Leave attachments

These changes make it easier to manage employee details, pay information, onboarding and employment settings.

Pay templates

We have made pay templates easier to understand and manage.

What’s new:

  • Clearer pay template screens

  • Better explanations and guidance

  • Ability to see which employees are linked to a pay template

  • Bulk pay template assignment

  • Improved pay template actions in employee workflows

This should make setup easier and reduce confusion when managing employee pay rules.

Multi-location improvements

We have made Urhere easier to use for businesses with multiple locations.

What’s new:

  • Improved multi-location rostering

  • Ability to assign employees to multiple locations

  • Employment details by location

  • Salary details by location

  • Payroll connections by location

  • Better schedule usability for multi-location customers

  • Cleaner workflows for managing multiple locations in one account

  • Improved multi-location setup guidance

These updates are especially useful for businesses managing multiple venues, branches or teams.

Communication

We have added new tools to help teams communicate inside Urhere.

What’s new:

  • Attach documents and images to news posts

  • Require acknowledgement on news posts

  • 1-to-1 chat

  • Group chat

  • Real-time messaging

  • Chat available across the software

  • Open or create employee chats from timesheets

  • Event posting

These tools help keep workplace communication connected to rosters, timesheets and employee records.

Shift surveys

Shift surveys allow employees to provide information about their shift.

What’s new:

  • Collect shift information from employees

  • Allow employees to submit images

  • Use shift surveys from mobile workflows

This can be used for shift feedback, site checks, proof of work, issue reporting or campaign reporting.

Onboarding and setup

We have improved the setup process for new customers and new employees.

What’s new:

  • Simpler onboarding steps

  • More guided setup experience

  • Business name setup for schedule display

  • Business location setup with timezone and geofencing guidance

  • Improved area setup

  • Clearer choice between adding employees manually or importing employees

  • Setup checklist and getting started tasks

  • Better first-location review and settings guidance

These improvements are designed to help businesses get started faster and with less confusion.

Hiring - Coming Soon

We have started work on a new hiring area inside Urhere.

Coming soon:

  • Shareable hiring links

  • Applicant management before employee creation

  • Default applicant information collection

  • Custom applicant fields

  • Application alerts and email summaries

  • Hiring workflows designed for Australian businesses

This will help businesses manage applicants before they become employees in Urhere.

Coming after this release

After the June 1 release, we will be releasing a comprehensive award rate library.


This will make it easier for Australian businesses to set up and manage pay rules in Urhere, with clearer award-based templates and a smoother setup experience for employee pay conditions.

This work is designed to reduce manual setup, improve consistency and make ongoing award management easier for customers.

We are also releasing Leave integration into Xero.

We will continue releasing improvements after June 1 as more features are finalised.
