Shift Offering

Managers can offer shifts to specific employees or use training requirements to find employees who are qualified for the role.

Offering a shift

  1. Go to Schedule.

  2. Create or open an existing shift.

  3. Select Offer Shift.

  4. Choose the employees you want to offer the shift to

  5. Select Send Offer.

Employees will receive a notification and can respond directly from Urhere.

Offering shifts to qualified employees

Training requirements can be used to ensure offers are only sent to employees who meet the required qualifications.

  1. Open the shift.

  2. Select Offer Shift.

  3. Select the training type you want to offer the shift to (See Training)

  4. Select Send Offer.


Tracking responses

Managers can monitor responses directly from the shift and via the mobile app's managers section.

Response statuses include:

  • Accepted

  • Declined

  • Pending

This allows managers to quickly see who is available and whether further action is required.

Approving shift claims

Depending on your settings, employees may be able to claim offered shifts.

Via the Shift Request window

The Shift Request window allows you to view all offers and swaps between employees. When a new offer or swap has been made, you will be alerted at the top of the roster.

  1. Click Actions

  2. Select Shift Request


  3. Review the pending shift offers, or view the history


On an individual shift or notification:

  1. Open the pending request.

  2. Review the employee.

  3. Approve or decline the request.

Once approved, the employee is assigned to the shift automatically.
