The Urhere mobile app is what an employee uses to view their schedule, keep up with company news, message their manager, and manage their own availability.
Where to find it
An employee opens the Urhere app on their phone and moves between five sections at the bottom of the screen: Schedule, News, Home, Availability, and Messaging.
How it works
Home shows the current day, a strip of the week's dates, and today's shift, reflecting whichever state that shift is in (see below). It also shows standing rows for anything waiting on an employee: how many shifts need confirmation, an option to pick up an unscheduled shift, and a Shift Swaps & Offers row with a badge showing how many are waiting.
Schedule shows shifts by day, week, or month, with total scheduled hours for the period. Selecting a shift opens its details: date, start and end time, duration, area, who else is working that day, and space to add a personal shift note.
If a manager has turned on co-worker view, a toggle for showing or hiding who else is rostered appears on the Schedule tab, underneath the date slider at the top. A shift offered to an employee through a swap appears in both Home and Schedule, alongside their own rostered shifts.
Some shifts need to be accepted before they are locked in. These show as Confirmation required, with Confirm Shift and Reject Shift buttons in place of the note and coworker sections. Other shifts simply show as Upcoming, with nothing further to do.
Once an employee has checked in to a shift, its detail screen updates to Shift in progress, showing the checked-in time and a Check Out button. Clocking in and out itself is covered in How employees clock in and out.
From a shift's detail screen, an employee who cannot work it can tap I can't work this shift and choose to either swap it with another employee or offer it up for someone else to pick up.
News shows company updates and events posted by management. If a post requires acknowledgement, an employee acknowledges it from here.
Availability is where an employee submits unavailability or requests leave.
Messaging is used for one-on-one messaging with management, and for group messages. A manager can turn this ability on or off for an employee.
