Troubleshooting clock-in issues

Resolve common issues when employees cannot clock in or their time is not recorded correctly. If an employee is having trouble clocking in or their time is not showing correctly, it is usually caused by a setup, device, or settings issue.

Employees cannot clock in

Check the employee is active and assigned to a shift at the correct venue. If you have geofencing enabled check the venues address is entered correctly.


Employee cannot see the clock-in option

Check the roster has been published and that the employee has a shift for that time/day. If the employee does not have a shift and you have not enabled them to clock-in for unscheduled shifts, they will not be able to check-in.


GPS clock-in not working

Check the employee has their location services enabled on their device and the employee has allowed the Urhere app permission to access location services.

Ensure the employee is within the venue to check-in when geofencing is enabled.

If the employee blocks location services access on their device or the Urhere app, GPS clock-in will not work.


QR code not scanning

Make sure the QR code is clear/visible and that they are using the Urhere app to scan the QR code (not their devices camera utility).


Kiosk clock-in not working

Check the kiosk device is setup and logged in using Kiosk mode. Make sure the internet connection is stable.
