Timeclock options

Understand and control how employees' record their working hours.

Urhere's timeclock allows employees to record their working hours directly within the platform. Every clock-in, clock-out and break is recorded through the timeclock and automatically creates timesheets, providing accurate attendance records and reducing manual timesheet administration.

By choosing the right clock-in method and configuring appropriate timeclock settings, you can ensure timesheets are recorded accurately, payroll data remains reliable, and employees can easily track their working hours.

What are the timeclock options?


Urhere gives you three timeclock options on how your employees record time. You can set up different methods depending on what your business needs and configure timeclock settings to save admin time. You may use multiple time clock options concurrently.

  • GPS check-in

    Allowing employees to record time using the Urhere mobile app on their personal device, verifying their locations. Geofencing is a GPS verification helps ensures employees are physically present at the work location when recording their time.

    This method is ideal for businesses with mobile teams, multiple work locations, or employees working remotely

  • QR check-in

    This method has employees scanning a physical QR code set up within your location to record their time. QR check-in provides a quick and simple clock-in process while helping verify that employees are physically present at the location to scan the QR code.


    This method is commonly used in hospitality venues, retail stores, construction sites or other shared workplaces.

  • Kiosk check-in

    Allow employees to clock in and out using a shared device (usually an Android tablet or iPad) located at a workplace.

    Employees identify themselves and record their attendance using the designated kiosk device. You may set up kiosk mode to capture a photo of the employee when recording times for monitoring purposes.

Timeclock settings


You are able to apply rules and restrictions to configure how your team's timeclock method is set up.

Geofencing

Geofencing is a location restriction setting that ensure employees can only clock in or out when they are within the proximity of your location or a specific work area.

This setting is configurable during clock-in method set up.


Unscheduled shift check-ins

Unscheduled shift check-in set up allows your team to record time without having a rostered shift. This method is useful if you have on-call or casual staff called in on short notice, unexpected demand for additional employees on shift or your team operate with flexible working hours.

Timesheet rounding

This feature allows you to have your employee's recorded times automatically adjust to the near increment of your choice. Enabling this feature reduces your admin required to make manual timesheet changes.

Managing Breaks

Break tracking allows employees to record meal breaks and rest breaks throughout their shift. This setting can be configured as paid break and unpaid breaks
