Creating and assigning pay templates

Create a pay template so employee pay rates and conditions are applied consistently. Instead of setting up pay details individually for each employee, you can create a template and apply it across your team or select employees as you wish.

Create a pay template

  1. Go to Employee

  2. Select Pay Templates

  3. Select Add Template

  4. Enter a name for the template

  5. Select the calculation type, Dollar Amount for a fixed rate or Multiplier which is used for overtime, weekend rates etc.

  6. If selecting a multiplier you will also need to insert the base rate.

  7. Select Create template to proceed


Assigning a pay template to an employee

  1. Go to Employees

  2. Select an employee

  3. Select Pay Rates

  4. Select Customer pay rate

  5. Use the dropdown to select a template

    This will automatically calculate the employees rates using the base rate you have set.

  6. Select Save Changes to proceed

    You may be asked if you would like to recalculate the employees pay rate. This function will update any timesheets which have not been approved from the date selected. You may wish to do this if you originally had an incorrect pay rate set or an employee has a pay adjustment.
