What it is
Employment Basis records whether an employee is Full Time, Part Time, or Casual at a location. Worker Type records whether the person is an Employee or an independent Contractor.

Go to Employees.
Select an employee.
Select Work Setup.
How it works
Employment Basis has three options: Full Time, Part Time, and Casual.
Worker Type has two options: Employee and Contractor.
Both settings apply per location, so an employee working at more than one location can have a different Employment Basis at each.
Employment Basis affects leave. Leave for a casual employee is automatically marked as not requiring payroll sync, since casual employees do not usually accrue paid leave in the same way.
