Submitting unavailability from the app (employee view)

How an employee adds, edits, or deletes their own unavailability from the Urhere app, including recurring unavailability.

How an employee tells their employer about times they cannot work, without a manager needing to enter it on their behalf.

Where to find it

In the Urhere app, an employee goes to the Availability tab, selects Unavailability, and taps Add Unavailability.

How it works

  1. Choose the date.

  2. Turn on All Day if unavailable for the whole day, or set a Start and End time if only part of the day.

  3. Add an optional note explaining the reason.

  4. Turn on Recurring to repeat the same unavailability automatically. Choose how often it repeats, daily or weekly on the same day, then set the date it should stop repeating.

  5. Tap Save Unavailability.

After saving: no manager approval is needed, it applies immediately. An employee can edit or delete it afterward from their unavailability list. If they delete it, the manager is not notified.

Once submitted, unavailability appears against that employee in the Schedule for managers. See Viewing and managing employee unavailability in the schedule.

Manager-side note: managers can block unavailability from being submitted on specific days. See How I stop an employee from being unavailable?
